Poems 1962-2000.
Bell lives in Iowa City, Iowa, where
he now teaches one semester a year for the
Writers' Workshop; Sag Harbor, New York; and
Port Townsend, Washington. In the year 2000,
the State of Iowa named him its first Poet
Laureate. His "spinner" poem was written expressly
for Electronic Poetry Review, and approximates
the format of the "dead man" poems of his
two previous collections, The
Book of the Dead Man and Ardor.
