november moon

Length passed;
dimension fled;—
(ivy moon
a pale slug eating
a downed poppy)
i had knocked
on the door
     & wept—
& the moon didn’t answer
but the door
     with three
corners did—

november moon

All souls, raise your hands—
(easier done than said)
i have a little headache,
you said to the word—
& the word described
as water came
in the style of a stem
by a stream
by a stone;

it is wild that you lived,
said the word—
